Water fluoridation petition for Mechanicsburg PA

May 11, 2020

Last month PDHA, the Community Water Fluoridation Task Force, and Pennsylvania Oral Health Coalition (PCOH) sent a letter to the Department of Environmental Protection expressing concerns about a proposal that would end water fluoridation in Mechanicsburg, PA Upper Allen Township. We shared our concerns about the negative impact that such a proposal would have on the health of the children and adults in that area. Our letter resulted in the permit being denied until a public meeting could be held. This meeting may be held as early as June. The group is now working to secure signatures & comments from within the community of Mechanicsburg’s Upper Allen Township currently being served by Suez Water. Due to social distancing, Merrilynn Marsh from PCOH has put together an electronic petition.

Our focus is to inform and gain the participation of hygienists residing or working within Upper Allen Township. Your support and participation would be most valuable. Our group is trying to engage the Mechanicsburg community in the fight to retain fluoride in the water.

There is NO NEED TO DONATE. We are seeking signatures and comments only.
