2017 Update

In March of 2016, the PA Dental Hygienists’ Association submitted a request to the State Board of Dentistry to add expanded practice settings to the dental regulations. Please click here to read the complete request. The Board approved these additions in July 2016, and is now in the process of updating the dental regulations.

In May 2014, PDHA once again visited Harrisburg to spread the message of the PHDHP.  A press conference was held on the steps of the Capitol Building and Senator Pat Vance spoke to the media about the importance of utilizing the PHDHP.

The Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists’ Association recently visited Capitol Hill to discuss concerns of the Public Health Dental Hygiene Practitioner with legislators and the Department of Public Welfare.  On Wednesday, October 2, 2013, we received a warm welcome in Harrisburg and helped spread the word about access to care issues.  Please consider contacting your state senator or representative today to spread dental prevention awareness!
